Hi, I’m Jaime — a veteran first grade teacher with over a decade of teaching experience in San Francisco. I believe that every student has the right to high-quality literacy instruction.
I've had the privilege of supporting hundreds of young learners through their literacy development in private, public, and progressive independent schools across the city, including many students with language-based learning disabilities such as dyslexia and dysgraphia. My research-based, Science of Reading–aligned approach is grounded in structured, explicit, multisensory instruction that targets the building blocks of reading and writing. I help students reduce frustration, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to access grade-level curriculum and experience lasting success as readers and writers.
As a mom of two, I understand the importance of finding a tutor who not only has the expertise but also the empathy and understanding to support your child's learning journey. I invite you to join me in nurturing your child's love for reading and empowering them to become self-confident, independent learners. Together, we can unlock the magic of literacy and the foundational skills that will support their educational journey and enrich their future.
